The Residenza Cannaregio at the beginning was a monastery of the 17th century, it has inherited the structure “a chiostro” with the typical internal court. In the first years of the 19th century it became a “squero” which was the place where they used to build gondolas; nowadays it has been transformed in a very modern and comfortable structure. 
 
It is located in Cannaregio, one of the most authentic and picturesque areas of the city, where still today is possible to find traditions of a popular Venice, few steps away from the Campo De Gheto Novo, the oldest Jewish settlement in Europe and not far from Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco.  It is easy to reach by public boats and is provided with a private access for the gondolas and water taxi on St. Alvise Canal. To supply to our guests a pleasant stay, the large bedrooms are enriched with mezzanine floors and are equipped with all the modern comfort.
